Recruiting Process

Once you have applied to Dapasoft, you can expect a number of steps to occur during the recruitment process. After our team has had a chance to review your information, you may get a call from our HR team. They will work with you to walk you through the interview process. The recruitment process at Dapasoft consists of the following steps:

  1. Telephone interview with Human Resources
  2. In person interview with Human Resources and the Hiring Manager
  3. Final interview and offer

Responsibilities

  • Work in a team environment with Project Management, development, and Quality Assurance teams to execute software projects following methodology and industry best practices.
  • Work with business analysts and end users to define system requirements and assist in the development of use cases.
  • Estimate, Design, develop and support Microsoft ASP.NET software solutions
  • Work with the QA team to ensure high solution quality, and participate in code reviews.
  • Frequently communicate with the team during software development to review progress and ensure that requirements have been met.
  • Present technical solutions and recommendations.
  • Provide technical training and mentoring to other development team members.

Qualifications

  • University degree or college diploma in Computer Sciences or related major
  • Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written
  • Understanding of Object Oriented Analysis and Design, the Unified Modeling Language, and software design patterns
  • Programming in a team environment utilizing a software development life cycle (SDLC) such a Microsoft Solution Framework, Rational Unified Process, CMMI, Agile, Scrum, or others
  • Proficiency with ASP.NET web development utilizing C# and client scripting technologies (JavaScript, AJAX)
  • Proficiency with latest .NET Framework technologies including Windows Communication Foundation, Workflow Foundation, and Presentation Foundation using Visual Studio.
  • Development experience with a relational database - Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle, including data access via ADO.NET.
  • Ability to understand and solve business problems from both a development and client perspective.
  • New track certifications such as MCTS, MCPD, or MCITP strongly preferred (and/or your desire to achieve and maintain certification).

Experience with the following technologies is not required but is considered an asset:

  • HL7 messaging for hospital systems integration
  • Visual Studio, Silverlight, Expression Studio, AJAX, ADO.NET Entity Framework, LINQ and other leading edge Microsoft technologies
  • Older certifications such as MCSD, MCAD, or MCSE
  • SharePoint development experience
  • Microsoft BizTalk Server experience
  • SQL Server Reporting Services and/or Data Warehousing
  • Web Services and Service Oriented Architecture
  • Practical experience with UML

To succeed in this role, you must be energetic, motivated and results-oriented. You will be working directly with our clients, so outstanding communication and interpersonal skills are required. Our primary location is Toronto, but project teams are sometimes located offsite at our clients.
