We Solve Healthcare Analytics, Big Data, and Healthcare Data Lake Problems

Today’s healthcare system is powered by data. Regardless of an organization’s size, having a robust system in place to organize and store this ever-growing amount of clinical data is imperative. Healthcare analytics is a term used to describe the process of securely storing healthcare data and utilizing modern software technology to organize, visualize, and draw insights from this data. A strong healthcare analytics system is key to improving clinical efficiency, cutting administration costs, better communication and improving the quality of care for patients.

Like other industries, healthcare is undergoing a digital transformation rapidly. Healthcare organizations are quickly adopting new cloud infrastructure and software technology to support value-based care models. Organizations, both large and small are working at a rapid pace to incorporate healthcare analytics into their daily routine.

Since 2002 Dapasoft has dedicated itself to utilizing the latest healthcare analytics tools and practices to solve the technical and security challenges of the healthcare market. We work with a wide range of healthcare clients to develop healthcare analytics solutions for both today and tomorrow.

Hamilton Niagara Haldimand Brant Local Health Integration Network (HNHB LHIN)

We had the privilege of working on a very exciting project with the Hamilton Niagara Haldimand Brant Local Health Integration Network (HNHB LHIN). The goal of the HNHB LHIN is to keep their local residents healthy through healthcare planning, funding and integration across the community. The HNHB LHIN needed a decision support analytic solution to suit their unique operational needs. Health Decision Support System required information from 3.8 million unique patients across nine different patient encounter points.

We utilized an upgraded SQL server and Sharepoint to build a data solution for the group. The process included the transfer of over five years of grandfathered data along with the ability to have a system in place that would meet the healthcare group’s growing needs. By end of 2016, our IDS solution is supporting approximately 100 Ontario health service providers, with over 2,000 users and a unified repository of over 100 million patient records.

BORN Ontario

BORN is Ontario’s birth and childhood registry and network. The group takes a lot of pride in their ability to safely store and manage extremely important data – childbirth and infant health status – longitudinally. We are extremely proud to have helped design, develop, and manage such a critical health system impacting 13M people.

We worked with the group to integrate data from five different data providers into one single system. The final data solution was built using Microsoft stack (SharePoint, BizTalkServer/Dapasoft Corolar, SQL Server) technology. A web portal was built allowing users convenient access to data. The system tracks data from all stages of prenatal health. Today, the server has over 1,500 users and 150,000 births are added annually.

Like BORN, your organization requires the peace-of-mind of knowing your data is accurate, secure and accessible. Real-time decisions are made daily in your organization and a strong healthcare analytics solution is key to having clinical and nonclinical data you can trust. We provide healthcare organizations with innovative and high-quality data solutions that work to achieve goals. Learn more about how we can help your organization, sign up for a demo today.

Using the IDS, the HNHB LHIN and its institutions can access consistent, standardized regional data within 30 to 60 days. This was a process that would typically take up to eight months. This has been key during planning and helps us compare benchmarks across the network, which translates into better patient care.
